Course DescriptionsCourses are provided in weekly group sessions, retreats, or individual sessions online, by telephone, in face sessions or as independent home study. See each course for its delivery methods.Insight and Mindfulness - This comprehensive course, which includes a day retreat and sessions over time is not only an excellent beginning experience in meditation, but offers opportunity to broaden and deepen an established practice. The instruction is also available in smaller steps below (Going Beyond, Transforming Consciousness). These shorter courses combined with retreat experince or the comprehensive course, are recommended as a foundation for the entire continuum of courses offered through Citta 101. Offered in a full eight week course with a one day retreat, retreat formats, or expanded into short segments over time The eight week Insight and Mindfulness course incorporates significant elements of the following courses. We are available to provide MBSR, MBCT or create mindful interventions tailored specifically for your needs - in individual sessions or for groups.
MBCT - Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Mindful Interventions specifically for your needs Inquire about private events HERE Going Beyond What You Believe to Be True - Going Beyond - First Steps is the first in a series of computer based courses which address the objectives of the Insight and Mindfulness course in short more intense sessions and develop capacities at more discrete levels. With this first course of the series, students are provided with intructions in html format, PDF worksheets and meditations in audio files. Further sessions are not on CD yet, but are avaialable in individual sessions. With the media CD you can learn on your own, but are encouraged to check in with one of our teachers a couple times through your work with the CD. Teacher led cyber courses are available in both group and individual formats.
Group Courses (online, telephone, in person) Independent Home Study Transforming Conciousness introduces meditation teachings in broad strokes. It is an overview of practices that include exploring and opening to ultimate truth, transforming ordinary mind, and learning to live in relationship to both. It is based on the book, Being Prayer--Transforming Consciousnees. Each part and each session can be taken separately. Part Two: Individual follow up sessions, using the Transforming Consciousness Practice Books, bring these concepts into experiential investigations. The course is offered on line as a Home Study and in individual sessions by arrangement in private session in person, online, or by telephone. Group courses are offered by request. Interpersonal Mindfulness, incorporating Insight Dialogue, is included in all our courses. We are offer a focused Interpersonal training in this series. Interpersonal meditation supports our capacity to awaken out of habit into shared presence. Through the work of integrating training in insight and mindfulness into interpersonal interactions, we bring the fruit of meditation practice into all life interactions. Courses include simple guidelines that support this process of practicing together, opening to the truth of both words and silence, bringing a greater possibility of mindfulness, tranquility and other wholesome qualities into all our interactions. We integrate reading and study as a contemplative practice in support of this integrative work.

Clear comprehension usually refers to very subtle movement - noticing thought and intention and making choices about processes. Creating is taking consciousness and spaciousness into living and action.
